The Dylan I Quit sessions were mainly covers of songs. However, a couple of older songs were committed to the 24-track. the lyrics to those are here.

These sessions were split into two:

one for Stroke My Poodle material and the other called Sci-Fi & Lo-Fi.

Years after the death of the uniquely-talented Tone H a number of scribbled notes were discovered in his diary. These contained ideas for new songs, together with some chords and lyrics. He had discussed how he felt some of these should sound but the concepts were at best vague. Some time after Covid these were restructured and developed into full-blown songs.

Many moons before the construction of the proper studio, a raft of material was recorded using an 8-track digital machine locked to computers and samplers by midi.

There’s even a song from an ancient Roman ritual, the ‘lyrics’ of which would have originally been carved in stone. Mad.

Often referred to by the team as the ‘Senegalese Sex Tapes’ these were some of the earliest things done at Plastic Parc studios with a minimalist set-up.

In 1975 David Bowie descended into a nightmare fog induced by a surfeit of cocaine. He nearly died. He also became obsessed with the occult, as the paranoia set in.

This experimental project, based upon his descent into Hell, began around 2016 / 2017 and took months to complete. It would easily fill a double album with its vast range of weird compositions. There are few ‘proper’ songs to speak of, though the material is far more musical than first realised. Here then are the ‘lyrics’ to those tracks which have some kind of vocal. Enjoy!

Tone H was prolific. Here are the lyrics for songs yet to be recorded, as well as others by different artists.

Tone H wrote a song called On The Reservation, in which he referred to the indigenous tree. So, all the songs which he wrote and which have been recorded have their lyrics here. Also, any songs written in collaboration with him are here. Songs about him are included too. Undoubtedly, a genius.

There’s a magnificent book called Art & Outrage, which describes the furious reactions of the numb-skulled to works of art which they find ‘offensive.’ Yeah, that old chestnut.

These often-wild reactions by individuals, and mainstream media, are detailed in the book.

The lyrics here describe or relate to some of these artworks and the extreme reactions.

Bowie often hinted at an album never released in the early 70s. It was to explore Ziggy in more detail and bridge the period after Hunky Dory. He definitely wrote some songs for it.

The lyrics here are for the songs of Vaseline Angels, inspired by the possibility of this lost work. They reference many of Bowie’s acquaintances at that bizarre time in his life, when he went completely off the rails, destroying just about everything he touched.
