Dog Star Pig, Psychotic Fools, The Screwdrivers et al….
Cometh the new studio in 2001 came another Waxworks incarnation, Dog Star Pig. While calibrating the new 24 track setup and acquainting themselves with the ‘new’ mixing-desk, they committed a number of new tracks to ‘tape’ (hard disk now) and collaborated on a bunch of covers. It was hardly “out with the computers and sequencers” but a rekindling of the analogue approach of microphones and acoustic guitars. Several artists had their material castrated!
Their main output ended on Vaseline Angels with the driving Fanny Frightnin’.
A number of different sessions produced by a variety of material from various contributors. One of them was The Screwdrivers. There’s mock-up of a sleeve opposite for an EP.
Here’s a clip of a piece, called Kitschy 1:
Here are the bands from the Noughties.
Stroke My Poodle - Psychotic Fools
Sperminator Abominatrix - Verbal Knives
